EVERYDAY!!!

School-wide efforts by teachers, students, support staff and parents provide students with opportunities to READ, READ, READ!!! A daily reading program during first block each morning offers students time to skim newspapers, read novels, view educational videos that span across the curriculum, write creatively, and undertake numerous fun projects all geared towards improvement in reading.

Below are just a few of our successes!

LCMS Celebrates Dr. Seuss' Birthday	All the THINGS are great at LCMS!!	Reading Dr. Seuss is fun at any grade level.
Newspapers in Education sponsored by the Miami Herald provide eighth graders time to skim the Sports sections and perform math activities while reading.	Students cut and paste photos and write their own captions!	Some captions turn to tragedy.
	Sometimes teachers design their own activities while using the newspapers.  Thanks, Ms. Lawrence!
